The awarded city of Port Wine and Douro River is increasingly considered one of the most attractive European destinations. It is an open-air museum, with colourful houses, narrow streets and gorgeous sites classified World Heritage by UNESCO.
Therefore, enjoy a panoramic view through the most important sites and monuments of Porto. From the riverside area to City Hall, Bolhão Market and Lello Bookshop, Santa Catarina Street, Clerigos Tower, São Bento Railway Station, Cathedral, Casa da Música Concert Hall, Serra do Pilar viewpoint and much more. Guimarães & Braga
Learn more about North of Portugal, represented in its most iconic cities, Braga with Roman origins which became the city of Bishops, full of churches and today a young students city. In this private journey, you will discover the Minho Region, where the green fields and mountains are a constant presence. A scenic and bucolic region, famous for its Nature, its young bubbly “green wine”, its cultural heritage and its filigree jewelry.
We suggest Guimarães as our first stop. Considered the birthplace of Portugal (home of our first king D. Afonso Henriques), this city is a UNESCO site and has a harmonious and well-preserved heritage, evident in the graceful iron and granite balconies, porticos, mansions and arches connecting the narrow streets, paving slabs smoothed by time, towers and cloisters. Here the castle stands out, as well as its medieval streets.
Then we will proceed to Braga, the Portugal’s third-largest city. It is an elegant town, laced with ancient narrow lanes closed to vehicle, strewn with plazas and a splendid array of baroque churches. Stroll through its gorgeous and old streets and discover the majesty of the Cathedral and the Bom Jesus Sanctuary, a holy shrine built on a hill with an incredible ancient baroque staircase plenty of fountains, meditation stops and statuaries.
Aveiro & Coimbra
On this full-day tour, we will travel to south along the coast to Aveiro. This pretty coastal town is now a vibrant and modern university place, but it remains faithful to its fishing port roots. It is a myriad of canals and beautiful architecture and for this reason people from all over the world named it the little Venice of Portugal.
Here you will admire its attractive “Art Nouveau” houses that line the Aveiro’s canals, where you can find the colourful, traditional and beautiful “moliceiros” boats. Stroll through its historic streets and taste the famous “ovos moles”, a typical sweet essentially made with eggs. Then we will proceed to Coimbra and, along this journey, we will regard the candy-colored fishing houses and the sandy white beach of Costa Nova.
And this tour will end with a visit to Coimbra, considered the Medieval Capital of Portugal. With an incredible historic center, crossed by the Mondego River, this charming city has notable monuments, medieval churches and Cathedrals. Also known as the “Student’s City”, because it has one of the oldest universities in the world, you can witness the famous tradition of the students’ attire and the music of Fado singed by male scholars. A visit to the University is also mandatory. Placed on a hill overlooking the entire city, it is the lifeblood of Coimbra.
Serra da estrela
The Serra da Estrela tour is the perfect way to go deep into Nature!
Serra da Estrela is the largest National Park and home to the highest peak in mainland Portugal. Nazaré
